Summer 2004 Semester (Mon. July 12 - Thurs. Aug 05) Schedule & Locations
(1) REGISTRATION & PLACEMENT TEST SESSIONS
Lawrence Tech University (Southfield, MI)
Engineering Building: Second Floor E208 & E209
Student and at least one parent must attend ONE of these sessions:
1. Sat, June 26: 9am - 12:30pm
2. Sat, July 03: 9am - 12:30pm
3. Wed, July 07: 6pm - 9pm
At
the session, the student will take a rigorous 2-hour test covering
basic math and verbal concepts. Student must bring the following
materials in order to receive a proper academic evaluation and thus an
appropriate course assignment:
1. A well-rested body prepared to take a test
2. School Transcript
3. PSAT/SAT/ACT Scores
4. Pencil & Eraser
5. Calculator
6. $50 Registration fee (cash, check, or money order)
Parents,
please bring no sleepy, calculator-less students who are unaware that
they will be taking a test. Sleepy, surprised, calculator-less students
usually perform below their abilities, and get placed into improper
classes, which results in lots of wasted time for everybody.
(2) SEMESTER KICK-OFF

Engineering Building: E100 (auditorium) Every student and at least one parent must attend.
Mon, July 12: 5:30pm - 6:30pm
5:30 - 6:30pm Kick-Off Ceremony (Parents & Students together in Auditorium)
6:30 - 9:30pm Session 1 (Students divided into their seperate classes, WITH PARENTS JOINING THEM) Students MUST BRING Class Materials to Kick-Off (see "Academic Sessions" below).
(3) ACADEMIC SESSIONS

Engineering Building: Rooms E200, E201, E202, E203, E204, E205 CLASS MATERIALS (Students MUST BRING to EVERY CLASS):
1. Dictionary (full size, pocket, or electronic) EVEN TO MATH CLASS!
2. Calculator (capable of performing trig functions) EVEN TO VERBAL CLASS!
3. Book (biography, novel, short story collection, etc. MAGAZINES ARE NOT BOOKS)
