Important information about our:
REGISTRATION SESSIONS

Date, Time, & Location: See Semester Schedule
Staff: See Staff Registration Instructions

ATTENDANCE:
Student and at least one parent must attend one Registration Session FOR THE ENTIRE SESSION. No Student Drop-Offs! Parents must arrive at the start of the Registration session and leave only after they have registered.

ACTIVITIES:
0. Decide Math or Verbal. Prior to attending a Registration Session, Families must decide if the Student will enroll in our Math or Verbal program. Each student can take only one class each semester, and each class devotes itself to one topic.
1. Registration Sign-In: Upon arrival at the Registtration Session, Parent must go to the Registration table, Sign-In to obtain a Student Registration Number, then sit down, relax, read a book, and wait for the Registrar to call your number. Each Parent must sit with Registrar for a One-On-One Registration Process, which will average 5 minutes. STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE AT 9am TO TAKE THE...
2. Registration Tests: Students go to either the Math Test Room or the Verbal Test Room. Parents remain in Registration Room. In special cases, unaccompanied MATURE, RESPONSIBLE students may Register themselves after the Test. This applies to returning students, or students who lack a parental figure. We do not want students to take this test at home because we find that too many such tests get administered incorrectly, which causes extra problems.
3. Complete Registration Form. Parents do this in the Registration Room waiting for the Registrar to call their Student Registration Number. Yes you can download this form now and fill it out at home, then bring it to a Registration Session already completed.
4. One-on-One Registration: You can not do this at home. You must come to one of the Registration Sessions to do this. When Registrar calls Parent's Registration Sign-in Number, Parent sits at Registrar's Table.
4.1. Registrar completes and collects Registration Form (filled out "neatly and completely"!).
4.2. Registrar collects $50 Registration Fee. See: Discounts & Donations
4.3. Registrar collects copy of student School and PSAT/SAT/ACT transcripts. We need these to best assess each student! Staple to back of Registratrion Form.
4.4. Registrar completes Student's entry in Registration.MasterList.xls and StudentInfo.MasterList.xls.
4.5. Parent will type family email addresses into StudentInfo.MasterList.xls on program laptop.
4.6. Parent will select Pre-Semester Family Consultation time.
5. Review Orientation Web Pages. After all Parents have Registered, the BCLS staff will lead a group discussion of selected website pages. Returning parents may exempt themselves by reveiwing these pages now on-line. But new parents in addition to reviewing these pages now, must participate in this discussion. When the students finish testing, they'll join their parents with this activity in-progress.

Please contact us to let us know which Registration Session you plan to attend and how many students you intend to Register. This will greatly assist our planning. Thanks!

MATERIALS STUDENTS MUST BRING TO REGISTRATION SESSION:
1. A well-rested body prepared to take two hours of tests.
2. BCLS Student materials. Even Students who have taken the Tests at-home must bring these materials, to get them in practice, and so that all distributed papers get placed into their Semester Binder.
3. School Transcript (or at least report card); copy for us to keep. Call your school and request an administrator to make a copy and deliver to your student. We need this to diagnose Student needs.
4. PSAT/SAT/ACT Transcripts (or at least scores); copy for us to keep. Also needed for Student diagnosis.
5. $50 Registration fee (cash, check, or money order) payable to BCLS.

2. Something to read while you patiently and pleasantly WAIT YOUR TURN for our beleagered Registrar to call your Student Registration Number so you can complete the
1-on-1 Registration Process.
